LOCMAN was founded in 1986 on the Island of Elba and from the most beautiful of the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, LOCMAN watches have conquered over the years not only the pages of international glossy magazines, which from the States to Japan dedicate services to the creations of the group, but also show business stars such as Sharon Stone, David Beckham and Elton John, who have chosen to wear LOCMAN watches. Today Locman has a distribution network of over a thousand points of sale and ten single-brand stores located in the international streets of exclusive shopping, from via Tornabuoni in Florence, to Ginza in the heart of Tokyo or the very central via Gonzaga in Milan. A headquarters in Marina di Campo, a network of offices between Florence, Milan and New York, an external production department in Milan make LOCMAN a modern company also from an organizational point of view. In 2006 LOCMAN founded S.I.O, the Italian School of Watchmaking, with the aim of helping to create highly qualified personnel and revisiting the profession of watchmaking in a modern key. But it is between the colors and the bright horizons of Elba that the heart of LOCMAN beats. In the laboratories overlooking the bay of Marina di Campo the ancient Tuscan watchmaking traditions, the Italian style and the most advanced technological solutions are mixed in the right alchemy, in particular with respect to applications in the watchmaking production of composite materials such as titanium, carbon, aluminum and other latest generation alloys. The time and resources invested by LOCMAN in research have led to great results: LOCMAN has been chosen as a partner by the most important and prestigious Italian companies, first of all the Armed Forces, which have granted exclusive to the watchmaker based on the island d'Elba the exclusive use of their trademark; and Fiat, which chose LOCMAN for the production of the FIAT 500 watch, on the occasion of the launch of the New 500. Among the most recent innovations, the Montecristo model, dedicated to the Mysterious Island, a watch with a highly innovative design, with a titanium and steel case and powered by an automatic movement developed by the Italian School of Watchmaking.
